Im looking for some DL courses from a school with 8 week semesters, but I havent any luck. Does anyone know of any RA schools that offer accelerated 8 week courses?
Any info in this regard is appreciated.

  2. Disclaimer: Expensive compared to DL options from, say, state schools. $850+/- for undergrad 2-month courses, $950+/- for graduate. The Master of Forensic Sciences program may well drive me to become a paid plasma donor....

My undergrad alma mater, the regionally accredited (New England Association) Curry College in Massachusetts has 8 week semesters through the Continuing Education department, albeit not DL.

I received my teaching credential from www.chapman.edu at one of their satelite campuses. They are on a 9 week schedule, and I believe they are offering some DL courses.

NAU has about a quarter of their business offerings on a late start 8 week schedule. This quarter they have 7. I took Organizational Behavior two quarters ago, and I'm taking Supervision in three weeks. I really like the short and intense version better than the semester version.

What gives with the username infinite sadness? That sounds rough, like you lost a child or something. Or are you Christian looking at theology degrees? I hope that's the case.

First - an off-topic question for Bruce. When were you at Curry? I taught there is the late 1980s.

As to 8 week semesters, Webster University has 8 week undergrad semesters - some undergrad classes are offered online, but not an entire degree. The grad program has 8 week semesters for the MAT and 9 week semesters for the MBA or the MA in Business and Organizational Security Management.

Full disclosure, I work for Webster.

I took courses off & on throughout the mid-late 1980's, but finally finished my degree there in 1995. The Curry CE programs are very flexible, you only have to do the last 30 credits through them, and they will accept up to 60 credits by CLEP, DANTES, and whatever they're calling the Regents Exams this week. They will also accept another 30 credits in portfolio, which means you can get a Bachelor's with only 10 in-the-seat courses. I did a bunch of credit by exam, but also transferred a lot from my Associate's degree at Quincy College and a hodgepodge of other credits from other schools, military, and police training.

BTW, Curry is undergoing a big capital expansion, with several new dorms and remodeling of other buildings. Their CE programs have proved very profitable.
