When I get on my computer at home and go to degreeinfo.com, when I try to log in by typing in my user name and password, the computer will say thank you for logging in, Ted Heiks. But when I go to the various subfora, the little boxes for user name and password are blank, making it clear that I am not logged in. In other words, on myown computer, I can read degreeinfo but I cannot post. Now, mind you, I can go to my mother's computer, the library computers, or the computers at a social club I belong to, and they will let me log in and post. What's going on? When you diagnose the problem and/or suggest solutions, please remember that you are dealing with someone who knows little to nothing about computers.

Ithinkthatyou've been posting so much lately that your computer has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and has gone on vacation.

9/10 this is an issue with cookies in your web browser. Various browsers handle cookies differently so it's difficult to trouble shoot over the internet but that is the first thing I would investigate. The other thing would be to look at any security related items such as FF with No Script, Anti-Virus, or other such protection mechanism can also cause problems.

this happens to me too. The computer doesn't "save" my login between posts UNLESS I try to post, and then I log in on the thread- click for it to remember me, and now it saves me being signed in. I don't know why it does that, mine started a few years ago. Don't know if that helps, but it's worth a try.

Try logging out, then, on the main page, instead of filling in the info, just leave it blank and click on "log in"; the next page should show your login details at the bottom half of the page - tick "remember me" and log in... you should stay logged in unless you have your browser set to wipe out cookies when you shut it down, you'll have to log in again.
