Work Intergrated Learning at UNISA South Africa

Hi, I'm going to study Civil Engineering at UNISA next year and I was wondering about the Work Integrated Learning. I understand you need to work and get experience for a certain amount of hours before you can attain the diploma but no where can I find how long it has to be, and if you can do it while studying. Im just concerned that after 3 years of studying I will have to still do another two years of work integrated learning which is 5 years and then only apply for a Btech.
Can anyone who has done or is doing this course please help me out.
