When I got my degree from Colorado State, it was clear that this was an online program offered by CSU Fort Collins. There is CSU Global Campus, but that's an entirely different university in the system.

The UM Digital Campus I am not quite sure about. It says all diplomas for online studies are conferred by the regents of the U of M. But the other campuses (Duluth, Crookston, Morris, etc.) seem to have their own online programs. Does that mean the degrees obtained through UM Digital Campus are considered UM Twin Cities degrees?

Quite confusing. If someone could help me figure this out, I'd appreciate it.

It looks like the UM Board of Regents is the body authorized to confer all degrees, system-wide. If you do a google image search, you'll find examples of UM diplomas (the UMTC diplomas look different than other campuses). Each reads, "The Regents of the University of Minnesota, on the recommendation of the faculty, have conferred..." Later the dimploma states, "given at [Minneapolis, Duluth, etc.]. So, you're going to get a degree from whichever campus offers your particular program.

It seems to me University of Minnesota Digital Campus programs are offering by UM Twin Cities, which is the flagship of UM. All the program contacts information and addmission is linking back to UM at Twin Cities.

Why do you want to get a degree from the school that has smallest soft drink in the world? lol

You have to look at each program to see from which UM campus it's offered. For example, the BS in Healthcare Management is offered through Um-Crookston, while the BAS in Psychology is through UM-Duluth.

Online Degree :: BS Health Management :: University of Minnesota Digital Campus
    Psychology

Thanks for your input, this is very helpful.

Nice picture! =) I have a burning desire to obtain a degree from UM because I want to be a Golden Gopher. That must be the awesomest mascot in college history. Maybe with exception of the Banana Slugs (UC Santa Cruz) and the Geoducks (Evergreen State College).

I'm taking grad classes and working on a Grad certificate (and maybe later Masters) thru the School of Public Health at U of Minn. I did at one time look into the undergrad certs offered thru the College of Continuing Education and Crookston. Distance Learners are treated the same as on-campus students and the degrees all say "University of Minnesota". Just make sure the classes you take have an online lecture session. If not you may need to contact the One-Stop and your College/Dept if you get billed an out of state rate (I live in California...distance learners supposedly are billed in-state except if the class requires on-site...then all of your units for that semester are billed as out of state).

Lastly...it's cool to be a Gopher. I eventually plan on getting my Masters (whether its' at U of Minn - MPH cost $42K ...not sure). I wanted a Big Brick and Mortar school on my resume even if I do finish somewhere else. I was luck to visit the campus this fall during a layover on a business trip. It was time enough for me to spend a few hours on a strolling a beautiful campus, meeting a few profs and advisers, checking out the football, basketball and hockey stadiums, shopping for gopher gear at the bookstore and most importantly get a U of Minn Student ID which now kinda makes be feel more connected.

Anyways...best of luck and Go Gophers!!!
