Hi, everyone! First of all thank you for so many great posts over the years - they have truly made a difference in my educational planning, and without this forum I would have been completely lost in the land of academic confusion. :hail: I am applying to Thomas Edison State College (pursuing a BSBA in Computer Information Systems). My question is, once upon a time, during my irresponsible twenties, I got a C minus in managerial accounting. I know, I know, but I was young and focused more on fun than grades. Will TESC take a C- in Managerial accounting and apply it towards my accounting requirement? I'm thinking "no," but I want to make sure. I don't mind retaking it, but I don't want to pay to take it again unless I really, really need it. Both an email to TESC and a phone call haven't yielded any help for me on this -- they just keep telling me their policy for accepting D grades (amazingly, I have none of those but I can't get an answer about the "C-" Thanks in advance for any help!
Policy on D Grades (re TESC Undergraduate Catalog 2014-2015) "Students may transfer in or apply Thomas Edison State College course grades of D to their nonarea of study requirements as long as their overall grade point average is at least a 2.0 or higher, as determined by the School in which they are enrolled, with the following exceptions: > all area of study courses must be graded C or better in order to apply to area of study requirements; and > all required composition courses must be graded C or better" (p. 166).
