    :wave:Hello@all,

I´m writing from Germany. I studied English here and wanted to continue ....
    Also, I have a job.

I compared the books to the material we got from the German university. The University of London is much much harder! Do you think it makes any sense without the care you need? I won´t speak or have presentations in classes, I would have to read everything on my own and find out what´s important? One big problem is that you cant get in touch with tutors or staff only through the student´s advice center?
At least- I wanted to have my certificate which is about 3.000 Euro (with additional books).

Thanks for your information and help.

Most of the programs at the University of London are self-taught although there are tutors available for some courses. As you have discovered, this is a course in English Literature, not a program about learning to speak/write the English language. From their site:

Studying this programme will enable you to:
    • expand your knowledge and understanding of cultural, historical and regional evolutions or continuities of literatures in English
    • develop an understanding of the diverse and sometimes conflicting ways in which literary texts have been interpreted and area being reinterpreted
    • gain the skills to read, discuss and write about literary and non-literary texts effectively and with confidence

There was no good reason for you to assume this would be an easy program of study. If you are finding that it doesn't really suit your needs and interests then you might list those here and our members could point you toward a more suitable program.
