Thomas Edison State College vs. The Evergreen State College Opposite ends of the country (NY vs. WA). Other than that fairly similar, both offer portfolio assessment and non-traditional approaches to education.
Michael is right about the similaries between the two colleges. Just a slight correction: Thomas Edison State College (www.tesc.edu) is actually located in New Jersey. It's innovative program mirrors that of Excelsior College (formerly Regents College of the University of the State of New York but now a private institution) and Charter Oak State College in Connecticut.
