I am looking for a degree that will combine social services with some grant writing courses. I found one in Ft Hays Master of Liberal Studies program. i can specialize in either Gerontology or Public Administration. I am currently working towards a substance abuse counselor and prevention specialist licenses and am not sure which degree will work better. They also have an MPS program which could also be tailored to my goals as well.

I am currently working in a human service organization and skills in Grant Writing are premium here. Comments?

The difference between the MLS and the MPS is that the MLS is the Master of Libersal Studies and the MPS is the Master of Professional Studies. Was there anything else to your question?

MPS = Master of Professional Studies similar to Master of Science
MLS = Master of Liberal Studies similar to Master of Arts

Except they are issued by the College/School of Continuing Studies.

And I have one from Georgetown University (in my signature)
