Does anyone know of online natural health/healing programs? I am interested in learning and getting a certification/degree so I could coach people.

I'd really like herbs to be involved. Nutrition/dietician seems too focused on food at first glance, but I'd take a second look if a program existed. I can't do something with much physical work, so massage is out, and nothing homeopathic based please.

I don't have a bachelors or associates degree, and I'd greatly prefer a program that didn't need one, that I could complete in a couple years or less. I'd consider up to 3 years but really lean toward 6 months - 2 years. I'd love a program where I could go at a quicker pace sometimes, and slower pace other times.

I can't manage local classes unless it was like only lab course. I'm ok with having to take in-person exams, especially if they are local. (We have a Pearson Vue testing center.) Travel is difficult for me but I'd consider brief trips.

Not sure on max I'd be willing to spend. I'd like to see the expensive options too, to see how much better they are (if they are).

Thanks for any info you can share.

you're looking for non-credit, CEU or personal enrichment. These types of natural health classes are abundant. I'll be blunt- they all will grant you the exact same credential to practice: nothing. So, choose one that looks the most interesting and is similar to your own philosophies. To practice/coach/counsel individuals and bill insurance, you do need a credential (varies by state) and some states are more strict than others. The word "nutrition" and "health" are pretty heavily regulated in all states. These types of licensure paths will require a minimum of a bachelor's degree, so in my opinion, I'd go either all in and get "the" nutrition credential (RD) or go in the polar opposite and stick to natural/holistic/etc. You'll have lots of opportunities to expand on your natural credentials (herbs, aromatherapy, etc). Your customer, as long as it's a group (not an individual) will be easier to find (health food stores, yoga, chiropractors, midwives, etc.) and willing to pay. If you also decide to integrate retail, you could sell organic veg, supplements, etc. at your local farmer's market. There is a market to be sure. You could probably make a living teaching classes. Just be careful trying to do any type of 1 on 1 stuff or advertising. Know your state's law, and follow it to the letter.

Of the legit RA college options, hands-down Bastyr is the most naturally-minded. http://www.bastyr.edu/academics/search-programs
