    Hi,
I'm looking to pick up two grad classes as a non matriculated student in the next 6 months in humanities/liberal studies.
Is Excelsior the only school out there with 8 week terms? I'm looking for a term shorter than the usual semester, maybe 12 weeks or 10. Is there such a thing?

Cheaper than Excelsior would be good too. Now, I expect I can only get one of my two wishes granted, probably the cheaper than Excelsior part, because Excelsior fees are dreadfully high. But I was hoping for a shorter term, too.

So far I'm thinking of Fort Hays or more likely Western New Mexico but their terms are standard semesters. ANy other suggestions?

    Thanks for any input.

National University offers 4 week terms, and it's a good school, but it's not cheap. As the old saying goes: "Good, fast, cheap; pick two." This one gives you the first two. Pick any two, but you usually don't get the third. Hope someone can give you a better option.

You can take classes at American Public University for pretty cheap. They have some History courses that might be a good fit for you. I thing they are somewhere within the 1K range per class.

OK. Thanks much. Will check into those two, and any other suggestions folks have.

if they could be in education, there are some super cheap indy-paced courses offered by Annenberg via Colorado State University. $100 per credit. They all have EDU prefixes, except for the science one. Annenberg Learner: Graduate Credit

Just FYI, folks. I wrote Cal State Dominguez Hills to ask about taking grad classes as a non matriculated student, and have not yet - several days later - received a reply. This is not unusual with Cal State I have found. I may never get a response. That has happened in the past - no reply at all, ever.
However, when I wrote Western New Mexico to ask about grad classes, I got a reply within 2 hours. And it wasn't a fluke. I've sent 3 emails and gotten 3 replies within hours. I am really amazed by how responsive they are. So, WNMU it will be. Thank you for your input, people.
