BA & BS at TESC & Charter Oak

I've scoured this forum to find info on both the cheapest and fastest way to find my way through a BA or BS beginning with TESC AND CO. I know I've seen it somewhere, I think it may have been in Steve L's post at some point.

1) I'm starting at TESC only because I am semi-familiar with it through your posts and through Dr. Bear's old book from the early 90's.
2) What degree MAJOR should it seek AND should it be a BA or BS? I've decided that it doesn't matter to me what the actual degree is, just that I acquire a regionally accredited degree. Cheap & Fast are my concerns.
3) At what time in my quest for either a BA or BS would it be best for me to take the FEMA courses? I'm aware now, thanks to you nice people, that CO accepts them, but TESC does not. How do I make this work?
4) What else do I need to know right now? I've paid my application fee for TESC, my financial aid info has been forwarded to them. They've acknowledged my existence and we're communicating.
5) For various reasons, I'm permitted to accept assistance via the ADA. What assistance would be most valuable and do you have specific info related to this disability situation that I should be aware of?

I think you should major in either Chemistry or Microbiology.:burnout:

 

A TESC degree in Engineering Technology would give you more earning potential than a non-technical degree.

Job opportunities include drafting, quality assurance, lab technician, equipment repair and maintenance, technical manual writing/editing, and energy industry technician to name a few.

 

What are your interests and strengths? I wouldn't recommend computer science and engineering to someone who does not have strong math skills. I wouldn't recommend a degree in English to someone who has poor writing skills. I wouldn't recommend a degree in nursing to someone who hates blood and guts.

The cheapest and fastest way to a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited school anywhere in the country would have to be the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in General Management at TESC using the Per Credit Tuition Plan. One can finish this degree for less than $4,000, but this is not doable if you're dependent on financial aid because you need to take a certain number of credits per semester (or 6 months) to get it. A Bachelor of Art in Liberal Studies, Psychology, Social Science, Natural Science and Mathematics, and Humanities are close behind. A history degree is just a tad bit more difficult to test out of. The BSBAs in Marketing, Human Resources Management, Accounting, and Computer Information Systems are mostly test friendly.

Even though TESC no longer accepts FEMA, you can earn up to 12 free credits by taking the Kaplan PLA, TEEX, and NFA courses.
