I was looking for an affordable online grad art degree. I came across:
Find Online Art Schools & Degrees | AffordableCollegesOnline.org

It seems this one looks like the least expensive at 55k
    Academic Programs

The MFA in Design program provides a specialized education and is accredited by the National Association for Schools of Art and Design.

I don't think that would be enough to teach at a university level would it?

If anyone knows of another, I'd be grateful. It can be art, design, photography, illustration, graphic design, etc. I'm pretty efficient in all those areas, cost is the deal breaker. Thanks

You might want to look into the Academy of Art University www.academyart.edu. BTW - The MFA is considered to be the terminal degree in art.

Now you have to explain that statement! I know you need 18 graduate hours in Art to teach.
My daughter's getting one at SMU with a scholarship, she's a sophomore. If theres something I need to know let me in on it!

In other words, it is the MFA (rather than the PhD in Art) that qualifies you to become an art professor.

In studio and performing art, in the U.S., traditionally, yes. But (a) not in some fields within art such as art history, (b) not in some other job markets such as the U.K., and (c) even in studio and performing art in the U.S., the MFA is being challenged by the PhD and this may be a safer route for prospective professors of art. If there's anything we could class as a safer route for prospective professors of art. For more see:
