Upon finishing high school 4 years ago I moved to Colorado with my girlfriend and worked in an IT help desk. Long story short at the beginning of the year we broke up. Around the same time my father became ill and I decided to move back into the Boston area and help him.

Over the summer I realized I was sick of working in dead end IT and want to pursue my real passion, math, programming, and making games. This led me to Boston University MET. It seems great, but, outside of a few references to it here and on reddit, I can't find positive or negative info on the CS program or even just the undergrad program. I can't even find cost of attendance!

I plan on taking both distance learning classes. Anyone with any info outside of "It exists" and "It can get expensive" would be amazing

Is cost a primary issue for you ?
If so, you can op to do this to lower your cost if you are going to BU MET.

    It's a 2 year CS completion program.
Finish up your AS or AA at a CC or Online first. Then go ahead at BU.

I was doing some research on Harvard Extension School and I chanced upon BU's MET as well.
Things that I do know are, the Degree conferred is by BU MET and not BU. (Different schools' name)
Tuition can be expensive if you don't have any form of grants (It's about $400/credit hour for part-time students)
Online course offerings per term is not as extensive as other schools that offer online courses.

    Here's the tuition fees page.

I do not know about the reputation of the program and such. Sorry !

This is just my limited knowledge on BU MET.

I would call your IT Help Desk is a dead end job. Most of IT Professional started as Help Desk, and Technical Support. I am currently a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, but 13 years ago I started out as Help Desk and joined the Military. Since you have been in the IT workforce for awhile, I would recommend you to attend Community College prior transferring into Boston University program. Therefore, you could save lot of money. It seems Boston University MT College is a completion program. And continue to work in the IT Help Desk or find a senior level. If you are passion about IT, would recommend you to visit techexam.net. Last but not least, IT requires experience, college degree just a check mark to get you into the door.
