Believe this one has not yet been discussed here nor is it in Walston's Guide.

Degrees from BA-doc in Religion , is DL, and says it is accredited. Opinions?

    Re: Christian Leadership University

Per the site's section titled Section II - Degrees and Certificates Available:

Christian Leadership University is accredited by the World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational Institutions (WWAC), overseen by Dr. Paul Richardson.

In addition, Christian Leadership University is certified by the Apostolic Council for Educational Accountability (ACEA). Dr. C. Peter Wagner, head of the Wagner Institute for Practical Ministry, formed this group as an alternative to traditional accreditation for the new apostolic churches that are emerging (www.acea-schools.org).

    And then this by www.degree.net:

There are quite a few accrediting agencies that are not recognized under GAAP, the Generally Accepted Accrediting Practices, as described above. These agencies are not recognized by either the Council on Higher Education Accreditation in Washington or the U.S. Department of Education, nor by UNESCO or by the education departments or ministries of major countries. They range from a few sincere efforts that are working for recognition to many associations started by less-than-wonderful schools in order to accredit themselves. Following is a listing of many such accreditors that we have noticed over the years. New ones seem to be started every few weeks, so not every name you see will be listed here.

The WWAC accrediting organization is on this list.

    Uh oh...

    Um...uh...ahem...oh boy!

I guess I do distinctively remember Paul, Peter and James--apostles par excelaance--sitting down discussing future accreditation issues. You might have a point, Bill. I could reeeeally be in hot water here, you know. Go easy on me, please!!

(and goodness, did you see the plethora of degrees? Associates of this, Bachelors of that, umpteen doctorates. I didn't see one for Doctorate of Food, or I probably would have jumped on it--I like cooking, you see!)

    Gads!

Naah, you're okay. It wasn't them; it was Peter, Paul, & Mary. A whole different sort of thing.
