It would seem as if New Charter University is no longer accepting new students. That's from an Enrollment Advisor with their sister school, Patten University. I also noticed that NCU's social media pages have been quiet for quite a while now.

The Advisor didn't have any further information as far as why, or a time frame.

Anyone know anything more on this?

I had an email a few months back from one of their advisors giving me an offer to get in on the NCU pricing for Patten courses. They basically have merged their courses with Patten and will now only have 1 RA school versus the 2 different schools with different accredidation and pricing.

Seems like like a smart enough idea, simple consolidation.

    Nice.

Ah, well that does make sense.

NCU was/is roughly $170/month cheaper than Patten. A merging would eliminate the ability for students to save money by starting out at NCU and transferring to Patten.

You would think that if they did indeed have Patten absorb NCU that UniversityNow would make it public. After all, going public would allow them to possibly bring in many new prospective students because of the NCU pricing for Patten courses offer that toddsbiyj mentioned above.

My guess is that the pricing offer is a "Wait! Don't leave yet!" sort of deal, and they have no intent on making it public. But if they were to offer an RA program at $199 publicly, that would be wild and sure to put a huge media spotlight on their school which could help them a lot since the school is pretty obscure in overall terms.
