    Hello all !

I've been doing some searches on how FAFSA works. But somehow I cannot seem to access the FAFSA website. I don't know if it's IP region locked since I'm not in the US, but all my PCs cannot access the website.

I would like to know how does FAFSA work ? I've never applied it before. I've always been using my own money to pay for my classes. Assuming I've applied FA from a school that I'm doing my degree with. And they offer me (for example sake) $15,000 in FA for my degree program.

Where does the money go ? Into my student account ? Or the school uses some sort of credit system to virtually deduct the cost from classes I take ? And how does repayment work ? Once I graduate, I start paying the school back ?

If anyone has experience with getting FA for an online degree program, please share :)

oh yes, I do qualify for FA. Just to point out.

FA for on-line education does not differ in any material respect from off-line education. The best answer to your questions is to contact the university you wish to apply to as the answers to some of your questions will vary from school to school. For example, some schools will deduct tuition from financial aid and send you a check for the rest. Other schools will deduct tuition and place the rest into a student account and then you have to transfer the funds to another non-school account if you want that. Schools have FA offices for a reason...use them as you will get better answers there (normally) than what you will get on a message board.
