Can someone point me to a location that might offer these courses at the college level in an independent study format?

Alternatively, a regular semester based DL option may be of interest. Especially if it is affordable.

    Thanks!

I don't know if you need these from a regionally accredited school, but Penn Foster is DETC-accredited and offers some related courses. I'll list the courses that are ACE-approved because that often increases acceptance.

    Construction Materials and Methods
    Engineering Mechanics
    Manufacturing Materials and Processes
    Statics/Strength Construction Materials

Regional accreditation is a must. Unfortunately, DETC will not suffice.

Courses in statics and dynamics are commonly offered by regionally accredited community colleges as part of pre-engineering programs. Sometimes the courses are offered online, like these online statics and dynamics classes offered by Oakton Community College (in Chicago). Community college classes are generally inexpensive, especially if you can find one in your home state, where an in-state tuition discount might apply.

If you are taking the classes to fulfill some kind of physics requirement, you might check to see if a laboratory component is expected. Online science classes often lack labs, because the lab experience is difficult to deliver by DL.
