Does anyone have any experience with distance learning programs at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania? I'm considering their online M.A. in History. It's a 30 credit, non-thesis program and the tuition is reasonable.
IMHO Brick and Mortar with an online component trumps any online only or primarily online for-profit university. Having said this, what do you plan to do with this MA in History?
I'm a high school social studies teacher in NYC and I'm planning to retire in three years. After retirement, I'd like to teach history as an adjunct at a community college. My master's degrees are in liberal studies (Stony Brook University) and school administration (Hunter College). I'd like to add a master's degree in history to increase my credentials for college teaching, and also for my own enjoyment.
