Was browsing through the HES website and I notice the ALB now has a concentration(s) in Economics, and Business Admin / Mgm.

Looks new to me cause last term when I was looking through it, it didn't show up.

Fields and Minors for the Bachelor's Degree at Harvard Extension School

Also notice the ALM has some new concentration(s) in Middle Eastern Studies? Legal Studies, Ecosystems.

I think it's new. Or maybe the website was revamp to make it look new.

What ever happened to their online (hybrid) Associate of the Arts degree? I can't seem to find it there anymore.

According to info in this thread at another forum, HES has discontinued the AA program, due to low interest. Current AA students will be allowed to complete their degree.

According to College Navigator, Harvard issued more than 7,000 degrees total in 2012-013 -- but only 9 of these were AA degrees.

Interesting to note that Harvard College don't even offer a major in Business or Management at an undergraduate level, yet the Extension School does.

The most selective and prestigious private universities don't usually offer Business or Management as undergraduate majors. They focus on liberal arts and engineering instead. An undergraduate can major in "Economics" (in fact, this is typically a popular major), but not "Business".

For example, I believe that the only Ivy League university that offers conventional business degrees to traditional undergraduates is Penn (through the Wharton School).
