Hello everyone, I need some help in finding a school where I can transfer my 24 unused doctoral credits. I am pursuing PhD in an Asian Institution since 2010. Though, I've completed coursework and published a number of papers, but still it will take 3 to 4 more years as it is a trend here. Besides, Capella , Walden, and Northcentral, does anyone know of any other flexible but cheap online (or short-residence) research university that may accept those credits? Thanks,
No school will have a published policy of accepting that many doctoral credits. Consider selecting a school (or schools) and having conversations with them. You'd be surprised what you can work out. Also consider doing a PhD by research. Much is written (often ill-informed) about these degrees not having courses. Not always true. They may not have specific curricula, but students are often expected to do some classroom learning. Your previous doctoral work might give you a leg up on all of that and make your time with your advisor better and more productive. But you'll still have to spend a long time on it.
There is no such school allow you to transfer into the Doctorate program. I started my program with Capella University, regardless A's or B's; I was not able to transfer any to Nova Southeastern University. Mr. Rich Douglas' recommendation on Ph.D by research, but most UK schools require minimum 4 years to complete. Obviously, they do not allow to transfer courses neither. I strong to recommend you to stay at the current program because if you start a new program you have to go back from squared one.
If you already have a number of papers published, you can try the PhD by publication by the University of Sunderland that is under 4K pounds. Walden is pretty flexible for credit transfer, its DBA can be completed really fast.
