Apparently Jarvis has moved on and accepted a position with the State of Oregon.

"New Chancellor Named for Oregon University System
PORTLAND - The Oregon State Board of Higher Education today (Friday, May 17, 2002) named Richard Jarvis, the current chancellor of the U. S. Open University, as the new chancellor of the Oregon University System.

As chancellor, he will head Oregon's seven-campus student university system.

"We're extremely pleased to have attracted Dr. Jarvis to the position," said Jim Lussier, vice president of the State Board. "He will bring to Oregon a wealth of experience in higher education and strong, innovative and demonstrated leadership in university system administration."
