I am taking CAEL's "Prior Learning Assessment Theory and Practice" which supposed to assist with getting some credits for my prior learning. I will be attempting seven courses this way. All the factual details I have ready to go. Unfortunately the support I am getting is less than stellar, and have no reference to a narrative.:Eyecrazy: Would anyone share theirs from their PLA? I cannot find a good example online, how the narrative should flow.:worried: Thank you! I just need the narrative portion, the rest I have it squared off.
Just a quick update on this. I have successfully completed two course "test-outs" through this system. The cost of $250 compared to the actual credit costs by the University is a large savings. Since the test-outs are driven through the University, there is no question of acceptance or not. My University (Wilmington University) has upper level and "resident" (taken from WilmU, not necessarily geographic) to graduate. The courses passed through CAEL qualify for both. I am already committed to one more, but see the possibility for two additional test-outs.
