New Indian Prime Minister has degree by distance learning

Narendra Modi, declared elected today, earned his Bachelor's degree by distance learning from Delhi University.(We saw him at a huge rally in Varanasi three weeks ago.)

I wonder how many other political leaders have distance degrees? Arnold Schwarzenegger does, but I think that's the end of my list.

Remember the early days of online distance learning? So many detractors, so much negativism, caricatures by the hundreds, and a general perception of substandard education. Although this perception is still held by some, the past 15+ years have brought a continual increase in the acceptance of education via distance learning. In time, as the percentage of distance learning degrees continues to increase, most bias will hopefully fall by the wayside.
