He plead guilty but the people who purchased these "degrees" are also guilty of fraud. Yes, therein lies the question: Are the customers of this person co-conspirators or victims? Probably could only be decided on a case-by-case basis, but I would imagine that most knew exactly what they were doing.

I think that you could safely say that anyone would had previously earned a real, legitimate Bachelors degree would know that their degree mill grad degree was a fraud based on their own experience at a real school.
It depends on how they sell it and how willing the customer was to deceive himself. If they claimed loudly that it was legitimate, there might be some people stupid enough to believe that their life experiences translate to a degree. A person's ability to deceive himself knows no limits.
Arrogance can be a strong motivator. Some people just genuinely believe their experience and knowledge trumps traditional educational methods and they "deserve" a degree from life experience. uppy_dog_eyes:
Proverbs 22:3 "A shrewd person sees danger and hides himself, but the naive keep right on going and suffer for it." The level of ignorance required to be genuinely fooled by a degree mill is so outstanding that I refuse to accept any excuses from able-minded people. Such a person could never be sucessful in any area in life. The fake diploma would be entirely useless since he or she would not be competent enough to get through one day of work doing anything, anywhere, much less even comprehend the very concept of having a job.
Yeah, but what if it were someone who was extremely competent in their field of study? They might be able to fool themselves into thinking they deserve a doctorate. After all, there is a guy around here who thinks he has a doctorate in surfing.
