I have a friend who earned a 3 Year Bachelors Degree in Vietnam, majoring in Computer Information Systems about 12 years ago and just finished a 2 Associates Degree in the U.S.A., majoring in health sciences.

Does anyone have any general idea of universities that will accept this person into an MBA program? Feasibility and strategies? Or any Masters program?

    Thanks,

    Dave

I don't know a lot about business degrees but I would think it likely that he would have to do some leveling course work, assuming the degree from Vietnam is accepted.

I think this depends a lot on the MBA program. My guess is that if the person in question applies to an MBA at UoP, chances are that the admission will be granted without too much questioning. If the person in question tries a top ranked MBA, most likely will be questioned about the quality of the school that granted the BS degree and will be asked to provide evidence of the quality of the granting institution (e.g. faculty credentials, etc).

MBA admission is negotiable and it is up to the school to accept the previous credentials as there is no Universal rule for this.

Even if a credential evaluator grants a equivalency (e.g. WES), it is up to school to accept the report.

In few words, the person in question should ask directly to the school that he or she is interested in attending.
