I got this email the other day. It doesn't strike me as the classiest way to fill up one's classes, but maybe it works for them.

I doubt Patten is sending "spam" as the risk would be too great. It's more likely that they're getting your address from a company that sources them; you signed up for something in the past using your email address.
I wasn't replying to you. It was a general comment on the price and the possible value the school may be able to offer at that price.
