Hi - I’m looking at master’s degree programs with the goal of teaching mathematics at a California community college. It is my understanding that the community colleges require candidates to have a master’s degree, along with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the field in which they plan to teach. I’ve also learned that teaching experience is extremely valuable/desirable. Since my bachelors degree is in mathematics, and my professional experience is in software development, I’d like to get as much education experience/learning as possible. I was therefore thinking of pursuing a masters degree in education while still satisfying my 18 unit mathematics requirement. Does anyone know of such a program? I’m in the very beginning of my search, and I’d greatly appreciate ANY help you can provide. Thanks in advance, Maytal
