Hola, amigos! I was awarded a Bachelor's degree in August of 2013 in Denver, CO, and this past January I got admitted into a Master's program in Puerto Rico (not DL) that I had always wanted to get in. However, the bureaucracy and red tape has been such a nightmare of epic proportions, not to mention teachers have been mediocre, rude, and far from helpful, that I dropped out completely last Wednesday. Seriously, I am so saddened by the fact that a college in my birthplace happens to be so backwards and out of touch with reality, that I really feel that I have to move back to the continental US to finish my education. Puerto Rico is a US territory, but sadly, the education offered there is anything but US-like. Not saying that the US is perfect. but there are certain processes put into place in America that guarantee a certain smoothness and efficiency when it comes to administrative systems in US academia. In other words, going into and staying in college in PR is disgustingly difficult, because the administratirs insist on archaic procedures and increasingly absurd requirements. So basically, I was enrolled for, what, a month or so?

My question is this: I am seriously thinking of starting an Online Masters in Social Work, and I wonder if I had to give my new prospective institution the transcripts for my college work at the Univrsity of Puerto Rico? Colleges ass for transcripts of every institution that you attend post high school, but I always assumed that would be the case only for institutions in which you had finished a semester at least and gotten a grade. I know that I have to provide the prospective MA-conferring institution my BA transcripts, and I have them, and that's fine, since I graduated and I have a BA. But do I really have to look for the transcripts for a college —the PR one— in which I was only enrolled for a month? I just dread asking that college for the transcripts and them taking forever to give it to me, although I have no idea what they are going to give me, if I never even did a test or anything. Thanks for any help!! :)

I think that I would act as if it had never happened.

Ditto. If there's no issue of transfer credit, there's no reason to send a transcript.

Ditto. I agree with the above two posts.

What would the transcript show? That you were enrolled and dropped all courses? Useless...
