Well... some guys simply don't learn.

These guys attempted to contact Enom, our domain registrar, which is a joke because (a) there's certainly no copyright infringement, which would be the only thing any ISP would have any interest in, and (b) Enom is not our ISP. So Enom, wisely, passed the buck.

And, of course, we're "damaging our credential" and risking "billion dollars of compensation."

Here's the latest threat, complete with the email chain from the last three or four internal communications. These people are truly brilliant, not to mention only moderately literate.

The amazing part is, one of the posts they want us to remove is the first Threat of the Week.

I believe this is a first: A school dumb enough, after a Threat of the Week has been posted, to send another threat, referencing the first one.

They asked for immediate action, and I'm happy to oblige. :D

    Dear INOU,

Are you sure we are defaming you?. Seriously??

If you are really intending to start a legitimate University in my country India, you first need to:
    - First and foremost, be honest.
    - Apply for proper approvals - UGC/AICTE/DEB as appropriate.
    - Become a member of a well established association of Universities - AIU/ACU etc.
    - Have qualified and experienced academic faculty (your website mentions none).
    - Be what you claim you are. If you are a sports organization, we expect some (legitimately accredited) sports-related courses from you. We don't expect MS, MBA and PhD in Maths/Stat/Computer Science from a sports organization. If we see that, we have every right to smell a rat and raise a red flag.

Your "honored" registrar want to know my personal details (probably to send a similar threat letter) before he can answer my question about your status with UGC. Don't you see some thing wrong here? Isn't this information be displayed publicly on your website? Are you even aware of UGC and it's stand on distance education?

If you are genuinely interested in building a true University, please follow the right procedures. There are no short-cuts to accreditation. And please be known that such "threats" won't do you any good. I know lawyers in India who can write a better one for INR 100/- (~US$ 1.70/-).
