Does anyone have any information on online graduate certificates in history? I'm a high school history teacher with two master's degrees in education. I'd like to obtain enough credits to teach history part-time at a community college, but I don't want or need a third master's degree.

I can't get the page to open right now, but it appears that University of Nebraska - Kearney offers an online graduate certificate in history.

Also, American Public University/American Military University offer a number of graduate certificates that fall under the history designation (e.g. American History, American Revolution, European History, etc.).

+1 for WNMU. Half of my MAIS at WNMU was in History and the professors were all top notch.

I remember the University of Nebraska Kearney offering a Graduate Certificate in History before they opened up the MA in History. But, from what I could tell, it seems that the Graduate Certificate went away after they opened up the MA.

Both Western Kentucky University and Empire State College offer an online Graduate Certificate in Women's Studies, if that's of interest to anybody.

+2 for WNMU. Half of my MAIS was also in History and I did not find a single bad professor in the bunch (I had at least a class with each of them, even the notoriously tough Dr. Lavelle!) My History studies at WNMU were some of my most enjoyable and rewarding academic experiences.
