All, I have some issues that I need some help with. A little background, I am a Navy Vet and am enrolled in VA Vocational Rehab and currently enrolled in school taking 7 week online classes towards a bachelors in business. I have four years to complete the program and I have 25 classes remaining to complete the program. My initial thought was to take two 7 week online classes per semester (Winter/Spring/Fall) that would give me 6 classes per year. However, the way it all works out with schooling and the VA, I would be 1 class short at the end of the four year eligibility, and that does not account for any retakes of any classes. The school I am enrolled in only has 7 week online classes and traditional classes are really not feasible. One option is to take some additional 7 week online classes but I do not think I can handle two 7 week classes at once. So I thought I would just take one 15 week online class each fall and winter which would give me seven opportunities to take harder classes in a 15 week format as apposed to seven weeks etc.. Like I said, the school I am going to only has 7 week online classes. I spoke to the VA and they said I could take classes at other schools as long as they are part of the program and transfer into my school. I spoke to the counselor at the school and she said "you will still have to meet residency which is 50% of your major (7 classes) and 30 credits at our school (3 additional classes outside the major)." Now here are my questions, outside of testing out which I do not think I would have all that much success at, what is/are every bodies suggestions? I just would like to hear different opinions of what everybody else thinks and what you all would do when faced with this challenge. Thanks in advance for your time.
