The University of Massachusetts-Lowell is now offering 3 graduate certificates completely online. They are Foundations of Business (all courses will transfer to the MBA program), Photonics and Optoelectronics (whatever those are), and most interestingly (in a creepy sort of way) Clinical Pathology. UMass-Lowell is regionally accredited by the New England Association, and is the fastest growing research university in New England. They also charge in-state tuition to all online students. Bruce
Bruce: The University of Massachusetts-Lowell is now offering 3 graduate certificates completely online. -------------------- I think that's because at least 742 on-campus students got so lost on the Lowell Connector that they never got to campus, and dropped out. I have never gotten so confused so often by any stretch of roadway this side of Pago Pago.
I graduated from the off-campus program, but I did have to go to Lowell once to get my original DD-214 copied and certified. It's not an experience I care to ever repeat, and I didn't even bother with commencement. Bruce
Hi Bruce - The Foundations in Business course is considered to be a prerequisite for those who have earned Bachelors degrees in non-business areas and who want to enter the MBA program. My understanding is that you can do the whole course over the Summer. BTW, the Lowell Connector was designed to stimulate local businesses. People get so lost that they have to pull over at a local hotel/restaurant after trying for hours to find their way home Jack
Ah, but then there's (not very far away) the Chelmsford Circle, a traffic circle (rotary) so famous and deadly that it has inspired bumper stickers that say "I Survived the Chelmsford Circle." This way, survivors can do their online courses from their hospital rooms.
