I'm looking for online schools where I can get an associates. Here's my situation, I attended a four year college years ago and never finished. I have around a hundred hours and should have all the credits I need to get a two year degree. Are there any schools who will give me credit for these classes? I've looked at Thomas Edison State College but their prices are outrageous. Can anyone recommend other schools?

How many years ago? What are you planning to do with your associates? Is there something specific you think you will use it for? I was a transfer student and applied for mine mainly because I figured I might as well - had the requirements anyway. It really doesn't serve much of a purpose for me. Granted, it's in History. I wouldn't waste money if you are wanting to get the degree just because.

But to answer your question, unfortunately I'm not sure. If you just want the AA, why not look into community colleges where the credits may transfer?

I would contact your community college to see what they will offer. Have you looked at Excelsior and Charter Oak? (The other two of the "Big Three") If you do a Big Three word search on this website, you will find lots of information. Good luck!

Charter Oak State College, Thomas Edison State College, Excelsior State College. If you really have 100 hours, you really might already have all your credits. However, you should really consider a BA degree if you are that close.

Charter Oak's fees will be easier to handle. I think they also have a payment plan. You can look at Excelsior for a more specialized associates degree. COSC only offers one in general studies.
