    Anyone else seen this?

What would cause an American MD to feel the need to get an MBA from Palmers Green?

Probably the same reason a physician at Canada's McGill University Hospital would list a Ph.D. in Public Health from Columbia State....ego fufillment.

I had submitted the Canadian physician for the Love Doctor GMA segment, and while he didn't get picked by Greg Hunter, the Columbia State degree disappeared from the website immediately after the show aired.

  3. Not just a mill MBA in 1991 but then a mill JD in 1995. So was the first mill degree so rewarding that he paid for another?

For the benefit of casual readers not familiar with University of Palmers Green (a real place, by the way) and its siblings, we should note that it's not one of the unaccredited (or under-accredited) institutions sometimes debated here. Palmers Green is an outright degree mill -- pay your money and immediately get diploma (and, you hope, the "admiration of all").

  4. I meant to say that Palmers Green is a real place, not that University of Palmers Green is a real place.

It would also seem that he got away with MBA so why not claim law training too with the JD.

Since the fake University of Palmers Green didn't come into existence until 1998, the good doctor is not only using two fake degrees, he is lying about when he got them!

Good Morning America is still very much interested in doing further fake degree segments. At this moment, they are offering prayers to the media gods that Robert Blake will make use of the same "celebrity" polygraph expert used by O.J., Jon Benet's mom, Kurt Cobain's people, and other icons, since said person has only one degree, a Ph.D. from LaSalle.

    All,

The point about the gent in Oregon sparked a question in my mind… does anyone know of any case where the Oregon law has actually been enforced? (i.e. someone has been given an official warning or brought to court for use of a non-approved degree). Just curious… I don’t think I’ve seen any information to that effect yet.

    Cheers,
    Tony

Howard Gleichman made a passionate defense of his Palmers Green degree a few years ago on a EMS discussion board....even the EMS professionals knew he was a phony.
