Need some advice toward achieving AA through distance in Christian counseling or something equal . Money is a factor of course and acceptance of accredited hours of previous college work. I have looked at Liberty but they are $$$$ and chose not to accept several general core classes previously taken because the discription of course was not the same as theirs was. Please help.

I don't know exactly how to help you. I am not aware of any AA's in christian counseling only Biblical Studies/Theology. If you do not like Liberty you can try ACCS's AA in Bible or Theology.

Also look at http://www.bakersguide.com and http://www.tracs.org

If you simply want an unaccredited Associates in a biblical subject that it just for edification and will probably not transfer anywhere then http://www.familyradio.com The associates if ***Free** and includes courses in Greek & Hebrew. I began it at one point and they truly do not push for money. Harold Camping is a little odd at times from a Theological perspective. He is currently calling for people to come out of the churches and return to home based fellowship. Page 21 of this months Christianity Today has an article about this issue. Apparently some chruches have experienced an effect from this call and some pastors have spawned a site http://www.familyradioiswrong.com

I don't want to presume, but in my experience, Associates degrees have only marginal utility. If you were to set your sights a bit higher you may discover that not only will it be easier to find a suitable program at the Bachelors level, but the payoff will be greater once the degree is earned. In any case, good luck.
