Hi, Applying for ECTS credit transfer to Canada, I wonder what is required as "certified translation of syllabi". My former university who writes the syllabi in non-English and also not in French (both were accepted by IQAS), is not going to prepare original documents in English. That's why I need a "certified" translation. However, I could not find out what exactly is required to meet the "certied" requirement. -Do I need the former university to certify my translation of syllabi if I translate on my own? -Do I need a certified translator for translating the documents and sign below - certified by ...??? -Do I need a certified translator for checking and signing that my translation is equal to the original? Regards
Usually certified translation is by certified translator. Could be a certified translator who is also a Notary. I had a few done in the past. You can ask the receiving party what is accepted as certified translation.
