    Hi,

Applying for ECTS credit transfer to Canada, I wonder what is required as "certified translation of syllabi".
My former university who writes the syllabi in non-English and also not in French (both were accepted by IQAS), is not going to prepare original documents in English.
    That's why I need a "certified" translation.

However, I could not find out what exactly is required to meet the "certied" requirement.
-Do I need the former university to certify my translation of syllabi if I translate on my own?
-Do I need a certified translator for translating the documents and sign below - certified by ...???
-Do I need a certified translator for checking and signing that my translation is equal to the original?

    Regards

Usually certified translation is by certified translator.
Could be a certified translator who is also a Notary.

I had a few done in the past.

You can ask the receiving party what is accepted as certified translation.

    Thanks for the reply.
I'd ask the receiving party, which is IQAS, but no answer yet :-(
