I'm not surprised, I have always thought of Kellogg as being one of the best business schools in the world. That would be the right field too on order to earn the big bucks.

The total cost to attend the MBA program at Kellogg (including tuition, room, and board) is estimated at $87,190 for the first year. So it would probably be around $180,000 for the two-year program.

And if there is a 94.7% chance that you will have a job after graduation, with a likely salary of $120,000 per year plus a $25,000 sign-on bonus, then maybe that cost is reasonable.

This graduate had many years’ experience. My guess is that AMBA accredited MBA graduates should also have higher starting salaries because these graduates would have had professional experience before embarking on their MBAs.

I think the most important take away was the median salary of $120,000. Therefore, if you are a MBA graduate with little or no experience then expect to earn double digits salary.

Kellogg is known primarily for turning out marketing professionals (product management, brand management, etc.). They are the best in the country for those types of roles. If you're going to attend an MBA program in Chicago and are interested in finance Chicago-Booth is the school to attend. Good for this guy. The article mentions he is in his 30's, which means he likely had 8-10 years experience pre-business school, I'm guessing in the financial industry. That's significantly more than the average MBA student, who tends to have 3-5 years experience.

That should be 5 digits salaries or under $100k. It is very doable to received a 6 digits salary with any accredited MBA with 6-10 years of experience. It happens all the time.
Unless you are fairly wealthy or the company is picking up the cost there is no need to pay $100k plus for an MBA.
