Anyone have information on where I could go to study for the LSAT (cheap or free study guide, etc.). I took the LSAT a couple of years ago and got a great score...the schools that I have applied for now want me to update the test since it has been some time since I last took it. I don't want to...as they used to say in the Military, "BOLO or NOGO" a test that I made nearly 160 on a few years ago.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Since you've already taken the test and scored well (for all but the first 15 schools in the top tier, according to USNWR), why not simply buy one of the LSAT PrepTest series and perhaps one other guidebook? At Amazon or BN both shouldn't cost you much more than 50 bucks (probably less on ebay).

Also, check out the lsat.org site where (I believe) there is a free test with an answer key.

    Good luck!

It seems like whenever somebody comes up with a test, someone else writes a study guide for it...

(Except NICET. I haven't been able to find a NICET study guide.)

Don't waste a dime on LSAT study guides. The only thing you can possibly do to prepare for the LSAT is to become familiar with the test format and the nature of the questions, and these things you can do for free with the materials the LSAT folks send you when you apply.

Does ANYONE know of a NICET study guide?

Apparently, though, he is familiar with the format; he indicated that he wrote the exam a couple of years ago.

Regardless, I disagree (vociferously) with the argument that the all LSAT guides are a waste. When I took the test (many moons ago), I scored infinitely better than I did on the first diagnostic test I wrote. That increase in score was a direct result of working through one of the study guides. Some certainly may be better than others, but those I have seen contain some decent test-taking tips specifically targeted at the LSAT (particularly the analytical reasoning section).

    Thanks For the Tips

I will try the study guides and I have taken the practice test on the lsat website. I believe that I will have a good chance of doing well on the test.

NOSBORNE, I did a search for NICET and I cannot find anything. I am very interested though and if you come across anything on it please email me. Thanks all.
