Has anyone tried NAU's Personalized Learning program?

I found that Northern Arizona University has a Personalized Learning program, with tuition currently set per a 6-month basis, rather than credit hour (see here). I have not found any other schools with similar price systems.

Has anyone enrolled in the program? Does the format of the lessons, sequence, and prerequisite hierarchy allow enough flexibility that someone with lots of free time could complete it within 6 or 12 months?

There are several schools with this price system: Western Governors University, College for America (Southern New Hampshire University), Patten University, Capella's FlexPath, New Charter University (nationally accredited), University of Wisconsin Flexible Option, etc. There are other self-paced, competency-based programs being developed that will probably have the same price structure.
