I am trying to get into UNISA DBL Program. I have unsuccessfully tried to contact the school again and again but to no avail! If I call the landlines no, nobody picks up the phones or lines stay busy 24/7 and If I send them an email, there seems to be no reply coming from their side!??

Have any one of you ever applied to SBL at Midrand Campus of Unisa???

Please let me know if you can help me out here.

    thanks

Yep, this is the way to do it. Make use of IACI's services, and don't waste a second questioning why or whether it coats a few bucks more. Once you are in the DBL program it all gets a lot easier - you end up with specific people to deal with, and you will have their email addresses etc. Good luck. I am a recent DBL graduate, and enjoyed the whole experience. Best move I made was using IACI in the beginning.

I agree with Distancedoc2007. I used them and still use them. When I pay my tuition, much easier than using UNISA's home page.

    From the UNISA facebook page:

Please note that myUnisa and certain services related to the student system will be unavailable on 20 and 21 December for essential maintenance.

We will be conducting important maintenance work on the student system database on Saturday 20 December and Sunday 21 December 2014. Due to this maintenance work, a number of systems related to the student system (like myUnisa) will be down for this period. The systems will be back online on Monday 22 December 2014. We apologise for any inconvenience

UNISA is one of the world's mega-universities (it's a wiki look-up). They currently have over 350,000 students enrolled.
    350,000
They get thousands of casual inquiries every single day from all over the world and they simply do not have the ability to respond to every email or phone call. Don't even bother trying. This is what you need to do.
    1) Do a CAREFUL reading of the university website. Virtually every question is answered there if you're willing to dig a little.
    2) Go to the IACI-Canada website and do a careful reading there as well. They can help you. Let them help you.
    3) Take the steps necessary to register. It costs nothing. It's a pre-application step. Without a registration number you do not exist as far as the school is concerned.
    4) If you plan on enrolling in a grad program then be prepared to provide a summary of your research proposal. This must accompany your admission application. This needs to be a very tight 3-5 pages including references, etc. Each department has its own guidelines for this. Take this VERY seriously. Be sure to check the general research interests of your department as well as the current faculty members. If they do not think they have a faculty member who can support your research you will not be admitted regardless of your other qualifications.
    5) Say good-bye to life as you now know it because you're about to be a very busy person for the next 4-5 years. Good luck.
