The Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) accredits a variety of business-related schools and programs, as mentioned in the title of the thread.

For those who don't know, ACBSP, while Global in scope now, started out as a niche accreditation agency, mainly for schools that did not qualify for AACSB business accreditation. In the old days AACSB was only open to select research institutions. As ACBSP succeeded and became more widespread, AACSB has relaxed its standards and admitted more schools.

Since ACBSP has gone on to compete effectively outside the US, and there are now enough International schools to comprise three overseas regions. Region 9, Latin America, Region 10 South Asia, and Region 8, the International Council of Business Schools and Programs.

Region 8 is the oldest of ACBSP's international regions, and comprised of schools from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, as well as Central Asia. To celebrate ACBSP's success internationally, Brussels will be the host of ACBSP's first ever, Annual International Conference, a counterpart to the well attended Annual Conferences in the US, and an outgrowth of the highly successful Region 8 Annual Meetings.

The Brussels conference takes place November 27th -December 1st, 2013; and in the tradition of Region 8, focuses on a more scholarly approach, for its accepted papers and presentations. The theme is Engaged Learning in the Digital Age.

Hi everyone at Degree Info, I thought I would give this thread a bump.

If anyone is within travelling distance to Brussels, Belgium, and wants to attend the ACBSP International Conference, it begins in two days.

At least 100 people have registered for the vent, not including the ACBSP staff being sent from the home office (Kansas City, Overland Park).

    Go Tigers-Mizzou, that is!
