Hi, I am looking for an online accredited course that I can start within this month. Are there any places that don't have set start and end dates for online classes? Because most of the accredited colleges I was looking at go by semesters and only offer the classes at the beginning of semesters.

On that note, would it be possible to find an accredited online Chinese course that I can start this month? Ultimately, my goal is to have finished two courses by the end of March.

    Thank you

I doubt if they offer a course in the Chinese language, but National University is fully, regionally accredited and goes month to month with no semesters or start/end dates.

    National University looks good

Yeah, I'm trying to find any online Chinese accredited course that I can complete by the end of March since I will be living in China for some time.

Interesting... I didn't know there was a difference between online courses that can start at any given time versus independent study courses. Thanks for all the list of schools, there are tons of classes I can choose from now. Unfortunately, Chinese doesn't seem to exist in the American online colleges.

If you learn Mandarin or Cantonese well enough, you may be able to get college credit afterwards through an ACE-evaluated exam. This isn't really my area, but if you use the Google and search for "college credit" and terms like "Berlitz", "BYU", and "FLATS" you may find something.

If you don't care about the credits but just want to learn the language (BIG difference between learning to speak Chinese and learning to write Chinese) then just use Rosetta Stone and a combination of MOOCs.

Rosetta Stone is a brilliant way to learn a language. It's very time consuming, but it works.
