I'm looking for information for community colleges/online courses to pursue an AA for library technician, and eventually a MILS degree. There's only two colleges in my state that offer the programs, and not looking forward to excessive travel (until I graduate of course!), was wondering if there were any reputable and accredited online schools that I could look into?

    Associate's and certificate options include

    Bluegrass Community & Technical College
AAS in Information Management & Design with the Library Information Technology Option; Academic Certificate in Library Information Technology

    College of Southern Idaho
AA in Library and Information Science

    Cuesta Community College
AS in Library/Information Technology; Library/Information Technology Certificate; Library Services to Children Certificate

    Minneapolis Community & Technical College
AAS in Library Information Technology; Technical Information Services Certificate; Public Information Services Certificate

You might already want to look at the bachelor's level, including

    Chadron State College
Bachelor's major and minor in Library Information Management
Chadron offers in-state tuition for all online learners, and the school is well-liked around these parts.

    Northern Kentucky University
    BS in Library Informatics
Note that NKU has an articulation agreement with Bluegrass, and also offers a BS in Business Informatics that might open up interesting nontraditional opportunities.
