My advice would be to not narrow your focus to only Health Care Management and consider majoring in Public Health as well. At my hospital, most administrators obtain a degree in business or public health, and then transition into an MBA or MPH program later in their career. Actually now that I'm thinking about it, none of them majored in Health Care Management . . .

    Food for thought.

Wow! I'm amazed to learn that undergrad programs in health management even exist.

As am I. In a previous life I worked in the health care industry. Those who ended up in health care management positions worked their way into those positions after years of working directly with patients in some way (nursing, respiratory, physical therapy, etc). Since significant medical experience is usually needed to acquire one of these jobs, I have to question the utility of an undergrad degree in this area. It would make a lot more sense to acquire a BS in a specific medical discipline and then do a graduate degree in healthcare management.
