    Hi Folks,

I am doing homework on the feasibility of completing a specialist graduate degree (likely MBA or MSc. Finance) in Hedge Funds or Asset Management via an online/distance learning format?

Does anyone have suggestions as to where I could find such a program?

    Thanks,

    C.

Generally hedge funds are "good old boy" networks. I don't really think it matters what you get your degree in, they keep it in the family. ;)

Going to agree here. No hedge fund worth a piss is going to talk to someone because they have a degree in hedge fund/asset management earned via distance. If you're sold on going this route, your best bet would be to attend one of the online MBA programs from a top-tier b-schools (the two that come to mind are UNC and CMU) but even then without a network/contacts in the industry you're not going to have much luck. The other option would be to start your own fund if you have/can raise seven figures in capital or more.
