Charter Oak State College Starts Awarding Graduate Credit

    It's a nice start, though I wish there was a way to get the credit via distance. Charter Oak seems to prove by this that they are first and foremost dedicated to the people of Ct. I think that's how it should be.

    Someone needs to assess the in seat FEMA and CDP courses for UL/grad credit...it would be valuable to many. Imagine a combination of three or four advanced level FEMA and a capstone experience for a Certificate in Emergency Management...I think it's viable and apparently COSC could evaluate it in house if they chose.

    Two out of three alumni and current students are in Connecticut, so that's definitely where their focus is, and I agree with you that they're right to do so. They've said they want to do more to reach out to those in the military who are stationed in the D.C. and Hampton Roads areas, though, and given their strengths that makes sense also.
