    Hello all,
I have been searching endlessly trying to make sure I have all available information before I proceed with my education. I already have a couple of AA degrees and a cert in Electron Microscopy. I work full time in the semiconductor field with some crazy hours so online/distance education is a must.
I eventually want to get a Masters of Science in Material Science. There are tons of online Masters programs in this field but zero(that I know of) at the bachelors level. So I have set my sights on any B.S. degree that would prepare me for this field so I am thinking that either Physics or Chemical Engineering would steer me in the right direction. I have found that the University of North Dakota has an online Chem Eng program where I would only have to go to the actual campus for a week or two per year to catch up on all my labs. This is acceptable. But if possible, I would rather go into physics. Unfortunately, I have only been able to find Charter Oak that offers a BS in general studies with a concentration in Physics but it looks like I would need to transfer in all the physics courses needed so that would involve a lot of picking courses here and there from universities. Or that might not be possible at all.
So if anybody has any advice for me, I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks!

Instead of a physics undergrad degree, consider a bachelors in electrical engineering (EE). A physics undergrad, while rigorous would have limited utility unless used for entry into a Masters program. A EE undergrad may satisfy entry into a graduate Materials Science program and would also stand on its own in the job market. Arizona State University (ASU) has an undergraduate program in EE. In order to transfer credits into ASU, a minimum GPA of 2.75 is needed.
