Are there any humanities or education master's degrees for $5000 or less?

It depends and you need to raise the tuition requirement up a little bit. Western Governors University offers Master in Education, which if you can complete within a year. That is less than $6,000.00. The cheapest one you can find here.

    Sure.

If you are a New Mexico resident and can somehow knock out 36 credits at New Mexico Highlands University in two semesters, a master's degree in curriculum and instruction can be had for under $4300 in tuition.

You could approach the MAIS at Western New Mexico University for $7000 ish. If your already licensed to teach Morningside offers an MAT, that utilising 18 credits via VESI used to be doable around $5000 total...but its been a couple years since I looked at it.

+1 on WGU.....they will let you go pretty quick. Not sure if you can do that degree in one six month semester....but it is possible with their MBA......that would really be under $5000

When I did the CSUDH Humanities MA, it cost me $4,200. But that was years ago.

Currently it charges $256/unit x 30 units, totalling $7,680. It's not the least expensive program out there, but it remains a low cost option. The fee is the same for everyone, wherever you happen to live.
