Need some advice on a Humanities or Christian Studies type degree through distance learning.I have several credits aquired in CRJU and law enforcement from East Tennessee State University and am a graduate of Tennessee Police Academy 86'.For the past 13 years have been in industrial electronics and am looking to possibly change carrers Two factors are cost of course and Algebra worst subject. TESC, Charter Oak etc. are too costly for me and staff not very helpful over the phone anyway. Main question I have is does anyone know of AA through distance not necessarily RA but DETC that would enable me to
    achieve AA? thanks!!!!!!

Hello, The Seminary Extension catalog offers some interesting courses through distance learning. They have an existing agreement with Judson College. Oddly enough they have a extension in my town so I'm looking at the possibilities. Prices seem very reasonable. Good Luck with your search. Hille

I guess I am having troublr understanding how TESC and COSC could be too expensive. You can get a complete BA/BS for under $2100 via testing. Since you already have credits and experience that would translate into portfolio credits it would be much cheaper. The only cheaper alternative would be some Community Colleges. However, only some of these would be cheaper like residential tuition in California. Where I live, Oregon, an AA degree would run about $2700 BEFORE misc. fees. I don't think you will find DETC or unaccredited but legitimate schools that are cheaper than the big 3. Anyway good luck in your search and if you can explain more perhaps we could be more helpful.
