    ISSP

I was sent this link by someone at in the corps SOH division. Actually, it was mass emailed to 100's of Army folks in the SOH community as a "this is worth a look" site.

IMHO this site is a scam and staying away should be your 1st priority.

The site has numerous misspelled words and grammar issues. The clincher was the stated experience to get in the door. Tells us what your experience is, no need for paperwork now, send the money 1st verify later.

There is no test to take like the CSP designation or the other professional associations.

The only thing is, some of the people on the board have good reputations, like the Army fellow from Europe. Don Wright - why be associated with this mess and put your name on it?

I'm Just confused on this one - I should write to him.

For now, I say stay clear of this one...

    Peace.

It's not listed here - and if legit, I think it should be: US Professional Health and Safety Organizations - Safety Directory.com

Its title is oh-so-close to the 100% legit International Association of Safety Professionals, that has its own section here: NASP - National Association of Safety Professionals That may be by design. I dunno. Not necessarily a good sign...

Sometimes, good people can be con ...er, persuaded to lend their names to less-than-stellar organizations, not realizing the true nature of what's going on. And sometimes, their names get used for purposes they didn't intend them to be...

Yep - I'd stay clear. Thanks for the heads-up.

    A little more looking...

Dunno what more to say, on this one.

"D. Smith," the head honcho of ISSP (and star of their video) says he works here. Well, the place is real enough...:

RITA | Transportation Safety Institute (TSI)

I pulled this PDF from the web - a piece by D. Smith on 'Quantum Safety Metrics,' a concept his ISSP writeup says he created:

    http://www.signalcharlie.net/file/view/D.+Smith+Quantum+Safety+Metrics+%26+SA+-+Dallas+Mar+11.pdf

Like you, I still don't like the vibe, though... Don't like 'em? Don't send them your money!
